Is Biodiesel fuel is better than the fossil fuels, or are there any factors we will need to compare them, and are we capable of replacing all the fossil fuel demands, these are all great questions. There has been much talk of biofuels and in particular biodiesel being touted as a more carbon friendly alternative to traditional petroleum based fuel.
It will require a vast area of land to produce enough fuel to replace the petroleum fuel. The biodiesel thus formed can be used to treat customary diesel, if required. All this oil, fat, and grease will need to be processed in a specialized processor which removes any contaminates before it refines the oil into biodiesel fuel.
Even if there is an oil spill, the amount of harm will be negligible as compared to an oil spill from a normal source. The dilemma seems to be that biodiesel is undoubtedly greener than traditional petroleum based fuel. Biodiesel's local resources can be cheaply grown and are excellent for the environment.
It is only relatively recently that modern day governments have begun to encourage large scale recycling. Once you get the hang of it making biodiesel at home is a great way to cut your reliance on the big oil companies for your energy needs.
